“I think of you and how our lives have intertwined; two cords, separately insignificant, wrapping around each other, weaving something new and stronger altogether. And the third Cord braided through makes us stronger yet; joining us together; making one from three ... strong enough to withstand time. A cord of three strands ... you, me and the Lord - working together to strengthen forever the bonds of marriage."

I really, really do

The goal of this website is to help pastors and couples uphold marriage as a covenant – a promise made before God to join together in a lifelong union of steadfast love.

Genesis 2:24 tells us “for this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh.” Marriage was the first institution created by God and it was a gift to the man and woman. Marriage is more than a contract between two people, it is a covenant before God. Even more, it reflects the relationship Christ has with his church – enduring love!

But how do couples entering marriage, or couples who are already married, understand this covenant and make it a practical reality?

The good news is that there are many resources available. This website has links to organizations, articles, Bible studies and books to help couples celebrate their marriage as a covenant for life. Other resources are available to pastors and marriage counsellors as they assist couples in preparing for and living up to their wedding vows.

Let’s celebrate marriage as God intended!
